She will point her phone in the direction of her subject, direct them to say cheese, mimic the sound of the camera shutter with a click, then tell her subject just how peeeer-fect the photo turned out. As an overeager mother who takes a ton of pictures using my own personal cellphone, I know just where she has learned this little trick.

Little-known tricks are always out there to learn. One of my favorite quick tricks in Easy Dental involves accessing family appointment dates and times from the More Information screen. The ability to view family appointment times in a single screen becomes incredibly convenient when a parent calls the office to schedule appointments for their children.

Try out these steps the next time you find yourself in a situation where it would be useful to know if other family members have scheduled appointments:

  1. Open the Select Patient screen from any module.
  2. Search for the family name.
  3. With a family member highlighted, click the More Info button.
  4. Click the family names at the top of the More Information screen to display dates at the bottom.
